That's fair, and I can see that read on it too, I just think that because of the sheer amount of work that was put into presenting the whole, "Tony has grown into a healthy father, look at how he's succeeding where his own father--who we're bringing up in this film!--and his explicit narrative foil Thanos failed," thing makes his death feel like a weird last minute decision. And I've never been keen on the whole concept of, "you can only find peace in death," thing when a character has literally already been shown ON SCREEN having found peace. Like, "you can rest now," being the last thing he hears?
That's a major yikes from me.
But, that's all personal.
