Yeah, that's fair. It's a lot harder to find and connect with people nowadays, even for supposedly popular stuff, especially since a massive amount of fannish community has been moving into private spaces like discord.

There's a general Final Fantasy fandom discord that may or may not be suitable, plus an r/ffxiv server. At a glance, pumpkinlumpin, althea_valara, and pyjamaenzel also seem like they've posted fannish stuff about FFXIV fairly recently.

Unfortunately I don't know anything about Final Fantasy myself, but I hope you figure out where all the shill folks are hiding soon.
