Oh, Lindsay Ellis and Sarah Z (a TV personality and a youtube celeb respectively) decided that a trained professional calling a high demand group with religious overtones and clear political goals which has caused an untold number of child rapes and at LEAST a dozen CONFIRMED deaths is a cult.

Which it legally and clinically is.

And when other experts in related fields backs me up, of course they got blocked or ignored while I got mobbed by their shitty little fans telling me I just need to ~hear them out~ while they QUOTE TWEET ME TO USE MY WORDS TO MOCK RAPE AND MURDER VICTIMS.

So I was understandably distressed already.

then I decided to take a break and swap to my fandom accounts for a while.

Only to discover that about 60% of my mutuals and acquiantances, and at least two people I had considered friends, were having a gay old time mocking this "utter psychopath" "harassing these women nonstop" with "hysteria about cults" and "taking fandom drama too seriously."

People have died.

So anyway, I spent a lot of time blocking people I had been on good terms with and smoking so, so much weed.
