This is more of a "ignore all the dead teens, kids will be kids! You're taking it too seriously, sexual abuse and attempted murder are normal hobbies for the youth!"
As my dear friend has been saying for like most of a year now (and boy were they right), she's just trying to find a way to pivot to something more profitable, and profit follows conservative politics on youtube. The transition from fandom to tradwife will be rocky, but she's already well into the TERF shit that comes hand in hand with anti shit so whatever I guess.
As absurd as it sounds, this is why I prefer getting my fandom history from tumblr--because tumblr posts about topics are more often than not the collaboration of multiple people adding onto threads, and the notes are right there as a way to find more information or even see counterarguments/fact checks/context.
God, it really was good for that. I wish I could feel safe trying to go back or rebuild but it's so packed with TERFs, sexphobes, neocons and the odd nazi still somehow.

My blocklist is at least a few thousand long by now, and I pretty much never get trouble for contentious things I post anymore, even though I show up in the main tags and everything. Every few months, a single solitary terf with 0 following reblogs one of my posts to mock it and I simply add them to the list. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ My little curated circle is rather pleasant.
On her twitter account, which she deleted I suppose, she would regularly bait trans men with comments like "male privilege means trans men are always privileged over cis women" etc and as soon as anyone would step in to try and correct her, she would screenshot or QRT them with condescending comments that led to harassment campaigns. Even when informed about these campaigns multiple times, she still persisted with the behaviour, but since she was "only" harassing transmasculine people I suppose that makes it "okay."
I'm SO tired of her, honestly. She just consistently seems to sit on a really awkward line of being just educated in the facts to convince general audiences that she's an authority, but not enough to accurately contextualise anything. And she so often tries to Both Sides things that really shouldn't be.
Her video on Homestuck was almost entirely based on one inside source that had a big grudge against Andrew Hussie, and immediately after it aired What Pumpkin published their own view of what happened that really made it seem it was less incompetence and more 'they got scammed and were punished for trying to assume benefit of the doubt for a while.' Which actually coincides with a different insider source back from when it was happening that said the same.
And while this is less actively harmful, I'm still really irritable about her Supernatural video. It's absolutely ridiculous that half of a ship literally confessed to loving the other in the final couple of episodes, and yet believers in the ship are still portrayed as delusional entitled crazies. When you compare reactions to this ending versus How I Met Your Mother, the double standard is so obvious. Not to mention that she completely ignored that part of the problem with the finale was that Sam was set to get together with a woman named Eileen, who on top of being a great character is also Deaf, and yet she was left out of the finale entirely only for Sam to be shown hitched up with some faceless blurry woman, and his actor making comments dismissing the romance that came across as pretty ableist.
That video was what turned me off of her actually. I skipped her video on bronies because I know better than to expose myself to people who hate MLP fans, but it was wild watching her just fully lie about a ton of Homestuck stuff. Like, I was around for the whole thing, and I specifically donated to the kickstarter as a joke because I hadn't read the comic and wouldn't for years. But everyone was well aware of What Pumpkin being basically fucked by poor contract skills and legal threats. It was a well acknowledged, agreed upon fact. Seeing this absurd revision to "oh well it wasn't really that well known until after My Amazing Youtube Video" is just.
It's insulting.
It's fucking insulting. Like, I know she's actively trying to manipulate an audience of people who were too young to be active in Homestuck shit during the heyday, but THAT IS ACTUALLY A QUITE SMALL GROUP OF PEOPLE AND THE REST OF US DO HAVE MEMORIES????

Im just so fed up with SarahZ,,, like about a year ago I used to watch her videos here and there for lack of people who cover incidents concisely so I dont have to spend 3 days researching the wank myself but I have since unsubbed with prejudice. She always felt like she had an undertone of 'This is cringe and I hate cringe look at the freaks' about her stuff and recently its really burst through. People have tried to tell her why what she did was fucked up but all she did was double down with nary an apology and then cried a bunch when she got a taste of what she levied at all of the rest of us. Now it was absolutely fucked for people to harass her. That is wrong. But also youd think shed have even a shred of sympathy for the very real material harm of harassment if she was crying over hers. But nope instead she fakeclaims the far too many instances of doxxing, physical threats, outing, needles in cookies, hospitalization, suicide attempts, etc. The things that have archived evidence. Disgusting behavior from someone whos all 'believe surivviors!1!!' Yeah except when its cringe to do so apparently. Had it up to here with normies like I literally feel safer with dudebro anime fans than other fellow queer folks sometimes its unreal.
Some odd years back on tumblr I unfollowed her for her shipcourse posts/reblogs (I am an enjoyer of filth, thank you) and then years later she's acting above it all, and as if she always was.
I wondered if she'd changed when she re-emerged as a fandom youtube person since she had gotten older, although I had no interest in her videos. And then I saw the twitter drama where she brought up an incident in the Sherlock fandom that I will confess to not knowing too much about as a non-fan. But what I do remember was people who were involved in said incident asking her to not exploit trauma for clicks, and her responding with "Shut up, blocked, why don't you trust me to not be exploitative?" which... Fans are real people! If you're really "not going to be exploitative of trauma" you can show it by taking concerns seriously, to start! I like to give people benefit of the doubt and respond accordingly, and that event taught me "Nope, she's just as bad as ever"
Yeah, I kinda noticed it too in her most recent vid. She has this whole aura of "I hardly know anything about this particular subject but I'm gonna say some random buzzwords so I seem smart and get attention."
